The Kindness Project is a foster closet in Emmaus that provides clothing, furniture, baby items, shoes, hygiene supplies, and more FREE to foster parents in order to enable them to care well for the children in their care. There are many ways to help, ranging from donating items, providing financial support, volunteering in the shop, doing laundry, or helping at events. Justice Initiatives

Justice Initiatives is a Reach Global Asia ministry of the Evangelical Free Church of America (EFCA) that seeks to combat human trafficking by providing prayer and support to ministries that provide community awareness and the prevention, rescue, and restoration of trafficking victims.  Our Faith Church Justice Initiatives team focuses on praying for Thailand and India missionary partners and local ministries such as VAST (Valley Against Sexual Trafficking) and the Truth Home, as well as selling handmade goods from Shrishti of India and Sunshine House of Thailand to financially support formerly trafficked and at-risk women.  He has shown you, O mankind, what is good. And what does the Lord require of you? To act justly and to love mercy and to walk humbly with your God. (Micah 6:8)

How you can help

  • Attend monthly Pray4Justice meetings the second Thursday of every month at 9:30 am or 7 pm in Room 248 where we gather to pray for missionary partners and local anti-trafficking ministries.

  • Host or attend a Justice Sale to support survivors in India and Thailand and to cultivate awareness of human trafficking globally.

  • Participate in short-term global ministry trips, local service projects and awareness events.

  • Sponsor an at-risk child through Global Fingerprints.

The Allentown Rescue Mission is a non-denominational Christian social service organization which provides critically-needed goods and services to homeless and impoverished men. Volunteer opportunities are on-going, year-round, and constantly changing. At the Allentown Rescue Mission, there is a place for everyone with time to give. Find current volunteer needs here. Bright Hope exists to serve women, men, and families by providing pregnancy support and life skills education. They have three locations in Allentown, Bethlehem, and Easton. Divine Resale


Divine Resale is a unique resale shop stocked with new and gently used items. Their proceeds benefit Bright Hope Pregnancy Support Centers. Divine Resale has two locations in Allentown and Easton. Divine Resale is staffed and operated by volunteers. In-store volunteers are always needed to help with sorting, stocking, and customer care. If you are interested, complete the volunteer form.

Everlasting Life Ministries

Everlasting Life Ministries is an outreach to those struggling in downtown Allentown. They distribute food and clothing as well as offer weekly meals and holiday dinners throughout the year. Family Promise

Family Promise provides comprehensive services and support to homeless children and their families on a local level to help break the cycle of homelessness. Volunteer opportunities include providing meals, providing a listening ear to talk with guests, sleeping overnight at a host location, answering phones, or organizing mailings/fundraising events. Friends of the Allentown Parks works to preserve, protect, and promote the local parks. They work diligently with volunteers, community service groups, local businesses, and the Allentown Department of Parks and Recreation. Volunteers are always needed to help beautify parks and clear trails.

Gress Mountain Ranch

Gress Mountain Ranch serves as a sanctuary for abused and neglected animals, both domestic and exotic. The ranch is home to more than 70 animals that are utilized to provide therapy, education, and volunteer opportunities to those with disabilities. Iglesia de Fe, translated "Faith Church," is our sister church in downtown Allentown. This church reaches out to the Spanish-speaking community in the heart of their neighborhood. Itty Bitty Kitty

Itty Bitty Kitty is a cat rescue organization dedicated to saving the lives of homeless, stray, and unwanted cats and kittens. Volunteer opportunities include fostering a cat/kitten for a short period of time, cleaning at the shelter, or assisting in fundraising events. If interested, fill out this form.


Jenn’s House

Jenn's House provides a special "home away from home" for families and patients who live in or travel to the Lehigh Valley area for medical, surgical, diagnostic, outpatient, and emergency services or doctor's visits in any one of the hospitals or healthcare facilities in our area. They offer two convenient locations in the Lehigh Valley, one in Emmaus and the other in Fountain Hill. Volunteer opportunities include cleaning, building repairs, or making donations. Manito Equestrian Center is dedicated to using their horses to help children and adults who have experienced trauma, are diagnosed on the autism spectrum, or are diagnosed with physical/cognitive disabilities. Volunteer opportunities include barn work, herd management, equine assistance, fundraising, community outreach/education, and administrative support.

Miracle League exists to serve a growing population of children with special needs by creating an opportunity for those with disabilities to participate in a baseball league of their own. Volunteers sign up to be an "Angel Buddy" - a buddy to protect the player from balls, assist the player in batting and running the bases (if needed), and to be a friend on and off the field. Push The Rock

Push The Rock is a ministry that uses sports as a means to proclaim the life-changing message of Jesus Christ through the pursuit of excellence in sportsmanship and athletics. Volunteer opportunities include homeschool and after-school programs in the local community as well as summer camps. Currently, volunteers are needed to help out at an after school program at Jefferson Elementary in the Allentown School District on Wednesdays from 3-5 pm. The program teaches the basics of different sports and recreational games, as well as a chapel time that introduces kids to the Bible and who Jesus is. You do not need to be athletic or be able to lead a class in order to help. All you need is the ability to talk with the kids, encourage them to stay focused and on task, and help the leader run a successful program. Ripple Community Inc.


Ripple Community Inc. is a community-centered housing initiative that addresses the need for permanent, affordable rental housing in Allentown. The RCI Village Program begins with well-maintained, affordable rental housing. Then, the program provides support to residents to help ensure long-term housing and life stability. These supports come from program staff, service partnerships, and community building opportunities (including participation in their Community Building Center). These supports are critical to the success and well-being of residents, but typically absent from affordable housing programs.

Sixth Street Shelter

Sixth Street Shelter provides housing with the goal of helping families set and reach their goals through intensive and effective case management, in-house programming, and referrals to appropriate services. Tabor Mentoring System

The Tabor Mentoring Program matches youth in Lehigh and Northampton county child welfare systems with adult mentors to help afford youth their best opportunity for a successful future. Volunteer mentors must be 30+ years old and must agree to 2.5 hours of training with a 1 year commitment of 2 hours a week.

Valley Against Sex Trafficking partners with justice advocates in law enforcement, homeland security, and the judicial system as they work toward ending human trafficking. Through collaboration, education, and advocacy, their goal is to empower survivors and encourage the community to take action in the anti-trafficking movement.
